Darlene Lorraine Gibson’s “One Woman’s Testimony of a Transformed Life: A Book for the Hungry, Hurting, and Healing Heart: An Attestation of Christ’s Work in My Life” will be displayed by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at the Printers Row Lit Fest 2023. The book fair and literary festival will take place at Printers Row Park in South Loop, Chicago, Illinois, on September 9-10, 2023.

Organized by the Near South Planning Board, the Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest outdoor literary event in the Midwest. It is a community-based festival for people who love books. The event features book exhibits along Dearborn Street, from Polk Street to the newly renamed Ida B. Wells Drive in Chicago. Aside from the book displays, the Printers Row Lit Fest also features book signings, panel discussions, staged readings, and various other programs for adults, young adults, and children.

“One Woman’s Testimony of a Transformed Life” follows Darlene Lorraine Gibson as she tries to return to school and face challenges in life. It highlights her relationship with God as she powers through the hardships of her experiences with life. Despite the struggles, she finds complete joy and looks forward to what is to come.

The book is divided into four different sections: Part 1: My Journey, Part 2: Scripture-Inspired Poetry, Part 3: Sermons, and Part 4: Outline of a Transformed Life. These sections show Darlene’s versatility as a writer. These sections let her showcase how she can connect to her readers easily, as each part is a fresh take on her life’s journey.

Author’s Biography

Darlene is a woman on a mission for God. She is also a psych rehab specialist. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and spent a significant time of her adult life in Willow Grove. Furthermore, Darlene is an alumna of Montgomery County Community College (AS Human Services), Chestnut Hill College (BS in Human Services) and received a MA in Christian Ministry from the School of Divinity at Liberty University. She also has received a post graduate certificate from the Behavioral Health and Science, Military Resilience program.

Furthermore, Darlene is earnestly plugging away at the Doctor of Ministry program at Liberty University School of Divinity by the grace and strength of God. Moreover, at her core, she has a servant’s heart, and is passionate about helping people become healed, transformed, and whole. Darlene is a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Her goals are to do whatever it is that is within accordance with God’s will that will bring Him glory and help others along on their journey.
