The Happy Christian Marriage Guidebook by Angelo and TJ Haygood is Displayed at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2023

Last July, hundreds of visitors went down to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong to check out the exhibits at the prestigious Hong Kong Book Fair. The fair is one of the largest in Asia, giving many readers a chance to discover a wide selection of new publications written by authors from all corners of the world. Asides from exciting new ideas in the realm of fiction, there were also plenty of books on science, and health, as well as helpful books for personal development.

Among these books is the marriage guidebook co-authored by devout Christian couple TJ and Angelo Haygood. “How to Build a Successful Marriage: 39 Activities to a Healthier & Happier Marriage,” it’s a book that partly tells the story of their own marriage challenges as well as a helpful activity guide for helping other couples facing the same obstacles. The book was displayed at the booth of ReadersMagnet, a self-publishing and book marketing firm.

The Haygoods describe themselves as a military family who have their own share of coast-to-coast and international travel. In one way, this led to the many challenges to their marriage that they describe in their book. Fortunately, thanks to their own encounters with like-minded counselors, various seminars, and wiser couples, they learned a number of very helpful ideas that they decided the rest of the world needed to read.

Many visitors to the Hong Kong Book Fair 2023 certainly got a good look at the insights and tips shared by Angelo and TJ Haygood. Angelo and TJ Haygood have been married for well over 39 years and are excited to share their journey with others.

For nearly 26 years, Angelo was blessed to serve as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and currently works as a senior civilian for the U.S. Space Force. Throughout his career he allowed himself to be used by God as a bible school teacher, education director, and local congregational leader.

For over 20 years TJ was employed as a highly successful executive recruiter, working in various senior leadership roles, eventually becoming the CEO of her own award-winning recruiting company. Currently, TJ runs her own travel agency while helping other business owners create their own internal travel business. TJ also dedicates her time as a Christian mentor and national Christian women’s speaker.

From the time they were seniors in college at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCATSU) in Greensboro, NC, they have been navigating the turbulent twists and turns of married life.

For more than 25 years as a military family, they moved from coast to coast and overseas, and they often found themselves needing assistance with various challenges of married life. With the desire to do whatever it took to honor and please God and save their marriage they sought out wise counsel from older and more mature married couples, attended marriage seminars, engaged with marriage counselors, and prayed together with fellow Christians. It is their hope that “How to Build a Successful Marriage “will provide the assistance couples need to grow a happier and healthier marriage.
