Jill Smart was a teacher for 28 years. She taught children in Michigan, Iowa, and Kansas. She has instructed in Secondary Science and Health for most of her career as a teacher. A lifelong and driven learner, she earned a Masters of Art in Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2012 from Spring Arbor University. Compassionate and goal-oriented, Jill believes anything is achievable if you put forth the effort and recognize the consequences of your actions. You are responsible for your destiny.

As an author and a teacher, it is her mission to convey this message to young minds. In addition to education, Jill is passionate about helping others, nature, and random acts of kindness. She has been married to her best friend, Don, for 30 years. The couple has two daughters and recently became grandparents.
