‘Madam Beja’, new soap on HBO Max, begins recording in Río de Janeiro

HBO Max has started recording Madam Beja, an original national soap opera that will feature a new version of the 1980s hit. Written by Daniel Berlinsky and António Barreira and produced by Floresta, the work will have 40 chapters and will be recorded in several locations in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The soap opera features Grazi Massafera as the protagonist and does not yet have a scheduled release date.

MADAM BEJA is an adaptation of the work of the same name, inspired by two books about Ana Jacinta de São José, a real character. This version promises to bring a new look to history, due to changes in society’s behavior over the last few decades.

The cast includes Grazi Massafera as Ana Jacinta, as well as great talents such as David Jr, André Luiz Miranda, Bianca Bin, Othon Bastos, Elizabeth Savalla, Werner Schunneman, Roberto Bomtempo, Deborah Evelyn, Bukassa Kabengele, Indira Nascimento, Tuca Andrada, Isabela Garcia , Otávio Müller, Erika Januza, Thalma de Freitas, Luciano Quirino, Kelzy Ecard, Dudu Pelizzari, Claudio Tovar, Elisa Lucinda, George Sauma, Miguel Rômulo, Bruna Spínola, João Villa, Nikolas Antunes, Gabriel Godoy, Pedro Fasanaro, Catharina Caiado, Rhaisa Batista, Arilson Lucas, Rita Pereira, Simone Mazzer, Lucas Wickhaus, Ricardo Burgos, Danielle Olímpia and Virgilio Castello, among others.

MADAM BEJA is an HBO Max soap opera, produced and licensed by Floresta. Written by Daniel Berlinsky, António Barreira and collaboration with Maria Clara Mattos, Cecília Giannetti, Clara Anastácia and Ceci Alves. The production is based on the synopsis developed by Renata Jhin and António Barreira, in a reinterpretation of the original work created by Wilson Aguiar Filho.
