ASPCA® Joins the Subaru Share the Love® Event as National Charity Partner for 16th Year

ASPCA and automaker’s long-standing partnership supports the rescue, transport, and adoption of thousands of shelter animals across the U.S.

NEW YORK – WEBWIRE

For the sixteenth year in a row, the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) has been selected as a national charity partner in the 2023 Subaru Share the Love Event with the goal of helping thousands of animals in need across the country. From November 16, 2023, through January 2, 2024, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle, purchased or leased, to the customer’s choice of participating local and national charities, including the ASPCA*.

Since 2008, Subaru has donated more than $35 million to the ASPCA through the Subaru Share the Love Event, which has helped support the rescue, transport, and adoption of nearly 116,000 animals nationwide.

“We’re excited to collaborate again with Subaru and the Share the Love Event because it will connect thousands of vulnerable animals across the country to the care and love they need to survive and thrive,” said Matt Bershadker, ASPCA president and CEO. “These funds play a critical role in local and national work to rescue, relocate, and rehome vulnerable dogs and cats, and we’re proud to help shelters and rescues address the animal welfare needs of their communities. The Subaru Share the Love Event is an extraordinary demonstration of the lifesaving power of compassion, generosity, and opportunity.”

Through its participation in the Subaru Share the Love Event, the ASPCA also provides grant funding to local animal welfare organizations across the country to help find loving homes and provide critical services for animals in need, including microchips, vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgeries.

The generous donation received from the 2022 Subaru Share the Love Event enabled the ASPCA to provide nearly $767,000 in grant funding to 189 animal welfare organizations across 43 states and Washington, D.C. This funding has helped support community pet events in partnership with local Subaru retailers. In 2022, this collaborative grant program impacted more than 11,000 animals nationwide, and the ASPCA and Subaru are committed to helping as many animals as possible again this year.
