CAF Women’s Champions League Côte d’Ivoire 2023: 10 Days to Kick-off
In 10 days, Africa’s premier women’s club competition, the CAF Women’s Champions League – will officially kick off in the cities of Korhogo and San Pedro.
The opening match will be played on Sunday, 05 November 2023 at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium in Korhogo at 17h00 local time (GMT). Hosts Athletico Abidjan will play Morocco’s Sporting Club Casablanca. Both clubs are making their debut appearance in the competition.
Athletico Abidjan are the first women’s club from Cote d’Ivoire to play in the CAF Women’s Champions League finals.
Eight Clubs will participate in the CAF Women’s Champions League 2023. The participating clubs include two previous winners: ASFAR from Morocco and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.
The CAF Women’s Champions League is part of CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe’s vision of making African football globally competitive and self-sustaining and creating platforms for Women’s Football in Africa to develop.

Korhogo and San Pedro are amongst the five host cities for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cote d’Ivoire 2023.

We are proud to host it in Côte d’Ivoire, at two of the venues of the Africa Cup of Nations next January. FIF is working to develop women’s football, placing particular emphasis on training young girls with the creation of an Under-20 team. I wish every success to the eight women’s clubs taking part in this competition.’’
