Philip Ripley Ward’s Golf is Not What You Think: The Finishing Touch will be exhibited at the 2023 Guadalajara International Book Fair. The book fair will occur at the Expo Guadalajara Convention Center, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, from November 25 to December 3, 2023.

The Guadalajara International Book Fair, also known as the Feria Internacíonal del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL), is the largest and most important book event in the Spanish-speaking world. It is also the second-largest book fair in the world, second to Germany’s Frankfurt Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse). The event is annually hosted and organized by the University of Guadalajara and expects more than 800,000 visitors this year.

Philip Ripley Ward’s Golf Is Not What You Think shares the author’s experiences. The book depicts the work of an independent golf specialist. The insights he learned from “Circling the mountain” for 40 years make the book more than just an instruction manual.

Author’s Biography

Mr. Ward was born a 5th generation Andover, Massachusetts native. His dad introduced him to Red Sox baseball at age 4. After moving westward with his parents at age 5, his roots remain in New England. He loved playing baseball and golf. In 1978 he attended Golf Digest Instruction School, studying under Bob Toski. Now, mostly retired he enjoys golf, puzzles, guitar jamming and spending time with his family. Two of his favorite accomplishments include shooting an 8 under par 28 (6 birdies, 1 eagle, 2 pars) on a regulation par 36, 9 hole-course witnessed by his mentor: Larry Sewell.
