Kelvyn Koning (he/they) is a poet, composer/lyricist, actor/singer, and pianist from McBain, MI. He earned his Master of Music in Composition from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and has been gaily writing poetry, choral music, musicals, and children’s musicals ever since.

He performs and composes regularly with the West Michigan Choral Lab, Nightingale Vocal Ensemble, and Lilith Vocal Ensemble, plays piano for choirs and theater, and is the Music Minister at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Natick, MA.

In addition to several stand-alone poems, he has written three poetry books now: “Teaching Snakes to Sing,” followed by “2020 Vision: A Haiku A Day,” and now “Growing Pains.” Kelvyn’s goal is to foster empathy, healing, and social justice for individuals and communities through music and writing.
