You Can Now Easily Save Songs to Spotify From TikTok With a Simple Tap

WEBWIRE

At Spotify, we aim to meet our listeners where they scroll. And for some of our users, that’s on TikTok. We want it to be as easy as possible to capture those catchy songs you hear in TikTok videos onto your Spotify without having to search for them. Good news: Our newest integration allows users to more easily save music directly to Spotify from TikTok with a simple tap of a button.

Spotify Free and Premium users in the U.S. and U.K. will be able to save songs you’re hearing on TikTok straight to your Liked Songs playlist within your Spotify Library without having to switch apps. You’ll be able to enjoy a song in full on Spotify whenever it suits you.

“No matter where you are, or the moment you’re in, we want to create less work to get to the audio you love,” says Sten Garmark, Vice President, Global Head of Consumer Experience at Spotify. “That means being everywhere our users are and creating seamless ways to save songs to Spotify to enjoy when and how they choose to listen.”

“As the world’s largest audio-streaming subscription service, our mission is to bring artists and fans together so you can listen to more of what you love, across any platform or device. Essentially, you won’t need to find audio to suit the moment. It will find you.”

Here’s how to integrate your Spotify and TikTok:
  1. Make sure your Spotify and TikTok mobile apps are updated.
  2. Set Spotify as your default streaming service on TikTok. You can do this the first time you use the new feature by tapping “Add Song” in the main TikTok feed and selecting Spotify, or under the Settings page on TikTok under Music.
  3. Then, automatically save songs to Your Library by simply tapping the “Add to Spotify” button in TikTok. On Spotify, you’ll find all your newly saved tracks in your Liked Songs playlist.
  4. Head to your Liked Songs and get listening!

You can also use the Add to Music app feature from an artist’s Sound Detail page.

Our TikTok integration joins several other social sharing integrations with platforms like BeReal, Meta, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter. Stay tuned as we roll this out to users on Android and iOS across the U.S. and U.K. starting today—with more markets to follow—and as we continue to introduce new features and integrations that connect artists with millions of fans across the globe.
