Wilbert Donald Gough’s Book Proclaims Christianity’s Faith in God’s Fairness at the Prestigious Frankfurt Book Fair 2023

Since it’s the world’s largest book fair, the Frankfurt Book Fair has a book exhibit for just about any reading audience. For Christian author Wilbert Donald Gough, that’s an opportunity to reach out to many tired and weary readers via his book “Life Isn’t Fair – But God Is.” The book shares a message to those searching for a life purpose about how God’s fairness can help people born even in the most unfair circumstances.

“If anyone had reason to feel God unfair, Job did! But he didn’t ever feel God was unfair. And in all his suffering, loss, and pain, Job never blamed God. Rather, Job honored the Lord so well!”

One of the reasons why the Frankfurt Book Fair, also known as Frankfurter Buchmesse, remains the largest of its kind is the sheer number of international publishers coming together. This results in thousands of books by many new authors, each one looking to connect with overseas readers and find those searching for empowering ideas and stories.

This includes even a great number of Christian authors like Wilbert Donald Gough. Gough, the author of “Life Isn’t Fair - But God Is: Down To Earth Words to Live By,” provides a collection of Scriptural reflections that see parallels in the struggles of modern-day living with many figures in the Bible. The book was exhibited at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023 with help from ReadersMagnet, a book marketing and self-publishing company.

Gough acknowledges that just about anything can happen through the course of one’s life, be it pleasurable or problematic. Every new day seems to bring word about some new calamity or a new thing to fear. In various corners of the world, individuals grapple with and endure the injustices of life.

The difficulties that arise from such things seem entirely new. But on the contrary, Gough believes that the people in scripture are already “veterans” of tribulations being talked about today and have much wisdom to share. Thus, the purpose of exhibiting his book at the world’s largest book trade fair was to remind any passing reader that God can still help turn it all around.
