Rita Leonty-Favreau’s Christian Novel About the Dire Consequence of Misusing Scripture Displayed at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023
The wide variety of books exhibited at this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair covered just about every category, including Christian fiction. Hence, it has always been a great opportunity for new religious novelists like Rita Leonty-Favreau. Her book, “Greater Love Has No Man,” passes on the wisdom of adhering to Scripture and presents the dire consequences of disbelievers who misuse it for their own ungodly ends.
“In the process of time, the convenient cloak of philosophy wore thin and the humiliation of their humble circumstances began to wear on Courtney…”
Given the sheer size and breadth of its exhibits, the Frankfurt Book Fair, also known as Frankfurter Buchmesse, teemed with books with entertaining ideas right alongside those with more confrontational messages. That’s why published Christian authors like Leonty-Favreau were very proud to have had their work displayed during the event.
In her case, it was a thought-provoking novel titled “Greater Love Has No Man”. Leonty-Favreau arranged her book’s display with the support of ReadersMagnet, a book marketing and self-publishing company.
“Greater Love Has No Man” does not hesitate to identify the worldviews of its heroes and villains right from the get-go. Its plot centers on a man named Courtney Willard and his wife, Kayleigh. When they were married, the couple declared themselves proud rebels against the temptation to pursue higher-class living.
Yet, whereas Kayleigh does so from the simplicity of her personal faith, Courtney does so simply due to his own convicted blend of atheist philosophy. He remains a worldly man through and through, thinking ill of the system but ultimately feeling dissatisfied with his lot in life.
He then begins orchestrating a chain of events to profit from the manipulation of Scripture, scheming to prove it against itself. Eventually, however, unexplainable things happen that result in the end he hoped to engineer turning out far different from what he envisioned.
But even as the author intended her story to be a cautionary tale filled with both laughter and tears, it also demonstrates the resilience of love, which ultimately restores hope.
“Greater Love Has No Man” by Rita Leonty-Favreau is available on Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Page Publishing.
