Wilbert Donald Gough’s Written Reflections on the Fairness of God Against the Unfairness of the World Slated the Exhibit at FIL 2023
The Guadalajara Int’l Book Fair, the Americas’ largest, hosts global publishers displaying numerous new books, including Wilbert Donald Gough’s “Life Isn’t Fair – But God Is.” This book, beyond Christian reflections on God’s love and justice, serves as a guide for all readers, offering balance amidst life’s challenges, socially and economically.
“If anyone had reason to feel God unfair, Job did! But he didn’t ever feel God was unfair. And in all his suffering, loss, and pain, Job never blamed God. Rather, Job honored the Lord so well!”
The Guadalajara International Book Fair, also known as Feria Internacíonal del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL), is a major publishing event and the most important cultural event in the Spanish-speaking world. It offers an opportunity for many writers from around the world to showcase their work. And given that it is also regarded as a cultural festival, one can also expect many books touching on philosophy and religion, as well as individual economic betterment.
It’s why Christian authors like Wilbert Donald Gough see it as a providential opportunity to reach those who have spiritually lost souls, as well as motivating fellow believers to do “good works” in the name of God. In his case, it is Gough’s book titled “Life Isn’t Fair - But God Is: Down To Earth Words to Live By.”
The book is a combination of various reflections using Scripture while also focusing on a core theme of letting God “turn a nobody into a somebody.”
In his own words, Gough fully admits that everyone is born into a world that is frightening and unfair. In fact, one can say that the very crucifixion of Jesus was unfair. Yet despite this unfairness, the story of the Resurrection shows no earthly power, unjust killing or Satanic influence can triumph over the love of God. Many of the book’s chapters then go in detail as how God continues to do good in the world today, how to find God while one is in the middle of a personal trial of deciding what is right and what is wrong. The book provides the reasoning behind why one needs to put more trust in Him. And it provides more.
Readers looking for “comforting reflections to contemplate” at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2023 was able to find Wilbert Donald Gough’s “Life Isn’t Fair - But God Is: Down To Earth Words to Live By” at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at booth #GG38.
