AdvaMed Remembers Medtech Pioneer Jack Wareham
AdvaMed President and CEO Scott Whitaker released the following statement in remembrance of Jack Wareham, former CEO and Chairman of Beckman Coulter and recipient of AdvaMed’s fifth annual Lifetime Achievement Award:
“I was saddened to hear of Jack’s recent passing, and my prayers and thoughts are with his family as they grieve and honor his legacy as a husband, father, grandfather, and leader who always strived to put patients first.
“Jack was a titan in the medical technology industry, shaping the way patients receive diagnostic tests and pioneering innovations that improved clinical laboratory testing. Over the course of his long career in medtech, Jack left an indelible mark on our industry, paving the way for new generations of diagnostic tests that are safer, more accurate, more efficient and improve patient health outcomes.”
In 2017, AdvaMed honored Wareham and his contributions to the medtech industry with the Lifetime Achievement Award, which is given to a pioneer in the medtech sector. Watch the video of the announcement here.
Wareham served as a member of the AdvaMed Board of Directors, leading the association in its rebranding from the Health Industry Manufacturers Association to the Advanced Medical Technology Association.
