The Official Partners of the 74th Berlinale

WEBWIRE

The 74th Berlin International Film Festival receives support from its Principal Partners Armani beauty, Uber and ZDF; its Co-Partners Campari, Mastercard, Potsdamer Platz and rbb media; and approximately 30 other national and international businesses.

“We are delighted with the continued support from the business community. Without the financial contribution and the passionate commitment of the official partners, a major event like the Berlinale would not be possible on this scale,” comments Executive Director Mariëtte Rissenbeek on the importance of the official partners for the Berlinale.

Principal Partners

Armani beauty
Armani beauty supports the Berlinale as Principal Partner and official beauty expert. Armani beauty will provide the official make-up service to the festival’s guests among whom celebrities destined to walk the Red Carpet. Berlinale audiences have the opportunity to get their makeup done at the Armani beauty pop-up at Potsdamer Platz. For over 20 years, Armani beauty has been delivering beautifully textured make-up, skincare formulated from the most pioneering science, alongside fragrances created with the rarest ingredients. Armani beauty’s collaboration with the Berlin International Film Festival keeps enhancing the relationship the brand has with the world of filmmaking and comes as a celebration of Giorgio Armani’s life-long love of the cinema. Armani beauty’s faces Cate Blanchett, Sydney Sweeney, Regé-Jean Page, Sadie Sink, Nicholas Hoult, Adria Arjona, Greta Ferro and Alice Pagani epitomise the intimate connection between cinema and beauty.

Uber
The mobility platform Uber is Principal Partner of the Berlinale and supports the festival in the realisation of the VIP shuttle to bring film teams and festival guests to the Red Carpet. For the practical realisation, Uber cooperates with a local car rental partner, through which the required capacity of vehicles and drivers will be provided. For the 74th edition, all limousines for the Berlinale VIP shuttle will be powered by modern electric or sustainable hydrogen technology and will therefore be emission-free. Uber is also planning numerous activities to make it easier for Berlinale audiences to get to the venues and back home.
As an official co-host, Uber is supporting “The Berlinale Party powered by Uber”, which will take place on February 19 at Cafe International (aka Cafe Moskau). In the middle of the festival, film teams from all Berlinale sections will celebrate here together with exciting guests from the world of media, business and the film industry. A total of around 1,600 guests are expected at the iconic location. The Berlinale Press Office will provide a list of international and national guests who have announced their attendance at “The Berlinale Party powered by Uber” for editorial purposes.

ZDF
The Berlinale is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its partnership with ZDF. As the main media partner ZDF/3sat has produced all stage events in the Berlinale Palast since 2005 – from the Opening Gala, which will be broadcasted live on 3sat on February 15 from 7.30 pm, to the European Shooting Stars Awards and the presentation of the Honorary Golden Bear to the Award Ceremony with the International Jury. As a leader in the press pool, ZDF ensures the transmission of TV images to the numerous national and international channels. In addition, ZDF reports on the Berlinale on TV, as well as in the ZDF-Mediathek. In the Grand Hyatt Berlin, the ZDF Lounge hosts various industry meetings.

Co-Partners

Campari
Campari is at the heart of some of the world’s most famous cocktails, such as the Negroni and the Campari Spritz. The passionate relationship between the brand and the world of film and cinema has a long tradition. It began in the 1980s with – of particular relevance – the collaboration with the world-famous director Federico Fellini, who shot his first commercial for Campari.
With the expansion of the Berlinale partnership, Campari continues to strengthen its global long-term commitment to the world of film and cinema. Guests of the Berlinale, filmmakers and Campari fans can look forward to a special and surprising appearance of the brand. In addition, the Campari Lounge at the Grand Hyatt Hotel will be open daily from 3.30 pm to 10.00 pm and will act as a centre point throughout the festival to bring together filmmakers, creatives and new talents at the bar. Campari also invites to the “Red Night” at Frederick’s on February 16.

Mastercard
The Berlinale is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its partnership with Mastercard. As an international technology company, Mastercard ensures that payments are processed securely and smartly worldwide.
As a partner of the talent enablement initiative Berlinale Talents, Mastercard also supports 200 selected creative professionals from 14 different disciplines in the film industry. The Talents Footprints – Mastercard Enablement Programme helps filmmakers to achieve social impact through financial support, mentorship and public awareness. Projects are selected by a three-member jury consisting of Thelma Buabeng, Marene Arnold and Sadaf Foroughi.
In addition, every Berlinale ticket purchase via Mastercard® contributes to the support of talents. Further information on the initiatives and the campaign: mastercard.de/berlinale

Potsdamer Platz
Potsdamer Platz is once again a Co-Partner and central festival location of the Berlinale. With the start of the film festival, the Theater am Potsdamer Platz transforms into the Berlinale Palast and the entire neighbourhood welcomes filmmakers, stars and fans from all over the world. With The Playce, the district offers shopping and entertainment, as well as art and cultural experiences for visitors. We look forward to spending the festival time together with you.

rbb media
rbb media is a Co-Partner of the Festival since 2020. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb), rbb media is a full-service provider for rbb. The spectrum of services ranges from advertising in radio and television programmes to programme exploitation, merchandising, co-editing services, licenses, cooperation and sponsoring. The rbb itself continues to support the Berlinale as a media partner and donates the prize money for the Berlinale Documentary Award. A three-member jury (Abbas Fahdel, Thomas Heise and Véréna Paravel) decides on the awarding of the prize money in the amount of 40,000 euros.

The Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Film- und Fernsehrechten (GWFF), a society dedicated to safeguarding film and television rights, sponsors the GWFF Best First Feature Award, endowed with 50,000 euros. Eliza Hittman, Andréa Picard and Katrin Pors were appointed to the 2024 jury.
