The author of the Lyle Kent series books will sign copies of her works at the country’s largest literary festival.
“The leeward side of an American suburb is well-understood by her book’s narrator. It is an eerie world that plunges into worlds deeper beyond.” – Clyde Ray List, Amazon Review
June A. Reynolds will be signing copies of her Lyle Kent series of books at the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The literary festival will take place at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, on April 20-21, 2024. Organized by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet, the author’s book signing event will be held at the company’s exhibit booth #225.
Reynolds’ Lyle Kent series of books is comprised of four books, including a poetry collection: “Something in the Sky,” “Land Over Time,” “River of Wind,” and “Lyle’s Lyrics.” These books all follow Lyle Kent as he navigates life.
“Something in the Sky” introduces the fifteen-year-old Lyle Kent as he starts his high school life when everything in his life turns upside down. He and his family (or “tribe” as his mom calls them) have to cope with losing everything. He keeps hoping to find something magic and look into himself for strength and courage.
In “Land Over Time”, Lyle returns to Oregon with his friend, Benny. He starts to settle down to high school when he discovers that a chain of strange events takes place. Some events are strange and unexplainable, while others are life-threatening.
“River of Wind” takes readers to Lyle Kent’s life in his junior and senior years of high school at Sherwood High. After the disasters that happened to his life, Lyle has grown and changed a lot. A day of reckoning takes place at “Crack in the Wall,” where people can witness the existence of unreal properties. He was urged by his girlfriend, Janice, to go back and accept whatever challenge that lies before him.
“Lyle’s Lyrics” is a collection of poems for the characters of the Lyle Kent series. This book provides backstories of characters through poetry. It also features illustrations and photos of Oregon that add layers to the backstory.
Order the books on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and ReadersMagnet Bookstore. Also available on the author’s website at www.jreynoldsbooks.com.

Author’s Biography
June A. Reynolds just turned 71 years old. Now that is getting up there, but her 40 years of working in Public schools, her current occupation being education director for the Sherwood Historical Society, and her dotage on her two grandsons makes her a fine candidate for writing a young adult series. In fact, the core idea for these three books was based on a real student that she worked with starting in 2008.
June was born in Portland, Oregon and when she was ten, her family moved to a farm on Chehalem Mountains, sister mountain to Parrett Mountain. She went away to college and work, but in 1999 moved back to Sherwood Oregon. By 2001, June began the effort to chronicle the History of Sherwood. She is now getting ready to publish the 1940 and World War II edition of the history.
