Bono’s "Surrender" ‘24 Audie Audiobook of the Year

A “Beautiful Day” indeed.

The Penguin Random House Audio production of “Surrender,” the acclaimed, bestselling memoir narrated and written by U2’s Bono, has won the 2024 Audie award for Audiobook Of The Year, bestowed by the Audio Publishers Association (APA), recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment.

Subtitled “40 Songs, One Story,” the 20 hour 22 minute production was produced by Dan Zitt, SVP, Content Production, Penguin Random House Audio, and published simultaneously in November 2022 in U.S. hardcover and e-book editions by Knopf.

It was one of seven major 2024 Audies awarded to Random House Audio and Penguin Audio publications at the APA’s annual ceremony, held this year on March 4, at the Avalon Hollywood, before an audience that included Mr. Zitt, Donna Passannante, SVP, Marketing and Publicity, and many other PRH Audio colleagues.
