Jill Fandrich, PharmD, Schedules Exhibit For New Student Edition of Her Well-Received Guide to Critical Thinking at LATFOB 2024

The L.A. Times Festival of Books welcomes a wide range of authors who challenge readers to re-evaluate the status quo. However, not all of them do a great job of actually guiding people on the process of critically evaluating sources. This is where author Jill Fandrich has stepped up with a guide titled “Students: Who Connects Your Dots?,” aimed specifically at students.

“A student’s guide to real-world critical thinking and challenging mainstream assumptions.”

The upcoming Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2024 will draw many visitors who are in constant search of different viewpoints and ideas that challenge widely accepted norms. A few of them might be combing the exhibits for literature that shows readers clear instructional methods to dissect the information presented to them.

One author of such literature is Jill Fandrich, PharmD, who initially wrote a book titled “Who Connects Your Dots? The Power of Critical Thinking.” Based on both her own research work as well as experience with today’s informational landscape, it’s a book that helps readers build a foundation for critical thinking.

For the 2024 L.A. Times Festival of Books, she will be exhibiting “Students: Who Connects Your Dots? A Complete Course on Critical Thinking”, a version of her original book now tailored specifically to student readers.

Using real-life examples, “Students: Who Connects Your Dots?” aims to teach students how to be more analytical in decision-making and decipher truth in today’s highly agenda-driven information wars.

Fandrich herself spent much of her life honing her independent thinking skills. She has a doctorate in pharmacy from Shenandoah University, a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Westminster College. She is quite familiar with the process of using evidence-based knowledge in medicine, from disease prevention to detoxification.

Thus, she knows what’s at stake with how the current information climate is challenging people’s capacity to filter and process information. By exhibiting at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2024, she hopes to raise awareness and help a new generation of independent thinkers.

Visitors can find “Students: Who Connects Your Dots? A Complete Course on Critical Thinking” by Jill Fandrich, PharmD, displayed at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at booth #225. The literary festival will take place at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, on April 20-21, 2024.
