Lajuana Craft Ryckeley’s “Words from God” Will Share Enlightening Poetry at the 2024 L.A. Times Festival of Books

The self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet will exhibit the poetry book by Lajuana Craft Ryckeley, “Words from God: Rising Out of the Ashes,” at the 2024 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. The book festival will take place on April 20-21, 2024, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

The L.A. Times Festival of Books is an annual public festival celebrating community, literature, culture, and arts. Considered the largest book festival in the U.S., the event has drawn around 150,000 visitors annually. Visitors include authors, book lovers, exhibitors, celebrities, artists, and musicians. Aside from book exhibits, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books hosts events that include performances and storytelling for children, author signings, and panel discussions.

“Words from God” is a compilation of poems that give a glimpse of the author’s experiences in life. This book shares the author’s feelings of love, struggles as a mother and wife, and her ways of enjoying all the things that God has given her.

The book not only aims to share an insight into the author’s life, but it also enlightens and inspires its readers through the words of God in the poems. It is the literature version of making lemonade out of the lemons of life. The author uses her love of God to fuel her passion for writing and inspire her readers.

Author’s Biography
A small log house was Lajuana Craft Ryckeley’s first home in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Her parents were farmers, but when the crop failed, they moved to Mobile, Alabama, where her dad worked as a millwright with International Paper Company. She has been truly blessed in her life by a mother who spent hours reading and singing to her. She instilled the love of poetry into her soul. In addition to her love of poetry, she considers many of her poems to be God-given because He wakes her up in the middle of the night with poems and songs. Her husband, Wiley, also encourages her to enter poems into contests. The poetry she has written has much variety and style. Many of the poems she writes come from heartfelt memories and reflections of the best that came out of her life.
