About the Author

Brenda Fluellen-Norman was born in Macon, Georgia, to the parentage of the late Willie and Odessa G. Fluellen. She received her education through Middle Georgia State University, and resides in Haddock, Georgia.

After being accepted into the Nursing program in 2006, she acknowledged her deep appreciation for the profession, but realized a career in nursing was not her passion. “GOD has a purpose for all of us, so in order for us to reach our fullest potential in life, we must remain focused on whatever it is we desire to do or become, believe in ourselves, and follow our own hearts.”

In 2016, Brenda’s love for writing and the arts finally brought Flipper’s character to life. She began to write and ’give birth’ to her characters by giving them a name, a voice, and their own distinctive personalities, thus, creating an excellent children’s reader, “A ‘Flippity-Wippity’ of a Great Day!”

Brenda is a wife, a proud mother and grandmother, and she enjoys spending time with her family. She is an avid gardener who loves the outdoors. Brenda has served in various capacities within her church, including the Steward Board, Trustee Board, Pastor’s Aide Board – President, Choir Dance and CDMC Ministries. Brenda is presently employed with the U.S. Postal Service.
