With less than 500 residents, New Richmond provided a picturesque backdrop for her stories. The iconic Oswalt barn, with its roosters perched in the upstairs window overlooking a serene pond, sparked Annabelle’s creativity and set the stage for her tales.

“The Barn That Crowed” follows the adventures of Amanda Martin, her best friend Joyce, and their siblings and friends in a small town just after World War Two. Through the guidance and the support of Amanda and Joyce, readers are invited to discover the wonders of the barn and its surroundings. They will learn to see, hear, and imagine the hidden stories within.

The series is a delightful blend of mystery and adventure, showcasing the girls’ budding sleuthing abilities as they solve crimes and confront their fears.
