CBC Manitoba Announces New Host for News at Six

WEBWIRE

CBC Manitoba is pleased to announce that Brittany Greenslade will take the anchor chair to host News at Six for television and streaming audiences.

Brittany is an award-winning journalist who joined CBC in January 2023 and brings a wealth of experience in enterprise journalism, breaking news and anchoring.

"I’m very excited to get started in the role and build on all the incredible work our team does every day,” says Brittany. “I am a firm believer in local news and journalism’s power of accountability. I am committed to our responsibility to seek the truth and provide people with the accessible, relevant and critical information they need every day. I feel privileged to continue to share Manitobans’ stories.

Brittany grew up on the West Coast in Vancouver, B.C. but has called Winnipeg home since 2012. After completing her BA in Economics and Sociology at McGill University in Montreal, Brittany moved back to Vancouver to study broadcast journalism. Since entering the field, she has had the opportunity to work across the country covering some of the top news stories in Canada – from the Vancouver Winter Olympics to the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Prior to joining the CBC, Brittany worked with Global News for 11 years, covering health, justice, crime, politics and everything in between. Brittany won the RTDNA Dan McArthur In-Depth Investigative award in 2018 for her stories that impacted government change after a Manitoba man was left with a $120,000 medical bill.

CBC Manitoba is excited for Brittany to take on the anchor position for the year, as Janet Stewart hosts Radio Noon while Marjorie Dowhos is on maternity leave.
