Young Driver Programme: Nico Pino Completes His First Series of Tests in the Ds E-tense FE21

• As part of the Young Driver Programme from Stellantis Motorsport, Nico Pino has completed his first series of tests with the DS E-TENSE FE21

Up-and-coming talent Nico Pino joined the competition arm of DS Automobiles in April for a schedule of Formula E tests, as part of the new Young Driver Programme launched by Stellantis Motorsport.

The Chilean’s test programme got underway with an initial series of tests in the Formula E Generation 2 DS E-TENSE FE21, which concluded at the Majorca circuit in Spain on June 4 and 6. Nico showed some great performance on this track, which is well-suited to Formula E cars, having established himself as a very versatile and experienced driver despite his 19 years of age.

Nico Pino will complete a further test programme with the DS E-TENSE FE21 from September before taking the wheel of the current Generation 3 DS E-TENSE FE23 driven by Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne in Season 10 of Formula E with DS PENSKE.

Supervised by engineers and mechanics from DS Performance who are specifically dedicated to his programme, the young Chilean benefits from an ideal environment to prepare for the top categories of motorsport.
