David Alan Armstrong’s “A Walk with the Master” Will Light Its Way at the 2024 Printers Row Lit Fest

The self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet will display the inspirational book by David Alan Armstrong, “A Walk with the Master: One Person’s Journey to Christ,” at the 2024 Printers Row Lit Fest (PRLF). The book event will take place at Printers Row Park, 620 South Dearborn St (Ida B Wells & Polk), Chicago, Illinois, on September 7-8, 2024.

Presented by the not-for-profit Near South Planning Board, the Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest free outdoor literary event in the Midwest. This two-day open-air festival draws over 100,000 attendees from across the country and the world as well as 100-plus booksellers displaying different types and genres of books and 200-plus authors participating in panels, discussions, and a variety of other programs. This community-based celebration for book lovers provides an opportunity for authors and publishing companies to showcase their works and products to a wide and diverse audience.

“A Walk with the Master” shares the author’s personal statement of conversion to Jesus Christ as his Savior and Redeemer within the context of his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The book follows the timeline or chronology of the Gospel of Matthew.

The author believes that every act of Christ was intentional and designed to reinforce His teachings. The book outlines events of Jesus Christ’s life with insights from the author’s study and incidents from his personal life to provide a closer look at how one can pave a path to discipleship.

Born and raised in Long Beach, California, David Alan Armstrong received his B.A. in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and his M.S. in Instructional Technology from the University of Southern California. The author retired after a 40-year career in software engineering and project management. He and his wife, Evelyn, reside in Kaysville. The couple has three children and five grandchildren.
