The entry list for the lightning-fast gravel event, which joins the WRC calendar for the first time after several successful years within the FIA European Rally Championship, was published today (Tuesday 25 June). It includes Semenuk and his co-driver Keaton Williams in a WRC2-entered Toyota GR Yaris Rally2.

Hailing from Canada, Semenuk is a works driver for Subaru Motorsports USA and has found success on both two wheels and four. In addition to his rallying achievements, the 33-year-old is a three-time Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour gold medallist and a five-time Red Bull Joyride winner.

In the headline Rally1 category, Toyota GAZOO Racing has pulled out all the stops to field a formidable line-up as the manufacturers’ title battle intensifies.

Four GR Yaris cars will compete in the Liepāja-based event, driven by Elfyn Evans, Sébastien Ogier, Kalle Rovanperä and Takamoto Katsuta, although Katsuta will not be scoring manufacturers’ championship points.

Rally Sweden winner Esapekka Lappi returns to Hyundai Motorsport’s line-up for the first time since Safari Rally Kenya in March. He joins championship leader Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak in a strong three-car i20 N attack, while, M-Sport Ford has entered three Pumas for home hero Mārtiņš Sesks, Adrien Fourmaux, and Grégoire Munster.

Other leading entries for WRC2 include Oliver Solberg, Gus Greensmith and Josh McErlean in Škoda Fabia RS Rally2s, Nikolay Gryazin in a Citroën C3 Rally2, and Sami Pajari in a GR Yaris.
