American Express Travel Celebrates a Legacy of Exceptional Service

This month, American Express Travel celebrated 50 years of the Pacesetters award, a program that recognizes the company’s top performing Travel Consultants as “Pacesetters” who have helped book unforgettable trips and experiences for our Card Members around the world.

Below, several of the 2024 Pacesetter winners share what being a Travel Consultant means to them, as well as their top travel tips.

“When helping Card Members book travel, I always recommend that they check their passport. Nothing is worse than discovering that your passport is expired or will expire soon, as you’re on your way to the airport,” said 20-time Pacesetter winner Ray B.

“I love the opportunity to craft personalized travel experiences and help create lasting memories. The number one travel tip I always share, with both Card Members and friends, is to embrace spontaneity and seize every opportunity for exciting adventures and memorable experiences while exploring new destinations,” said first-time Pacesetter winner Btissame D.

“My tip for travelers is to always purchase travel insurance! Depending on how much you travel, that could mean buying a yearly plan or a single trip purchase. You just never know when you are going to need it,” said two-time Pacesetter winner Marcus L.

“I love helping Card Members make their bucket list vacations a reality. I work with them to create their dream itinerary while removing the stress that often comes with planning a trip alone,” said first-time Pacesetter winner Sofia P. “I always tell them to enjoy every moment, from planning to returning home, and of course that American Express is here to help as part of their journey!”
