Aon Announces New Analytics Leadership Roles for Acevedo and Cheesman

Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, announced that Luis Acevedo has been named head of analytics for Commercial Risk in Latin America.

Acevedo, based in Miami and who previously served as data analytics leader for Commercial Risk in Latin America, will report to Paul Shedden, global head of advanced risk analytics for Aon’s Risk Capital capability, and Natalia Char Mutis, head of Commercial Risk in Latin America. Acevedo will be key to advancing risk analytics for Aon’s clients in the Latin America region.

At the same time, Peter Cheesman, based in Sydney and currently head of analytics for Reinsurance in Asia Pacific (APAC), will expand that role to include APAC Commercial Risk, becoming head of analytics for Risk Capital in APAC, where he will oversee the firm’s development and implementation of innovative analytics solutions for the region across both the insurance and reinsurance sectors. Cheesman will report to Shedden, and George Attard, CEO of APAC for Reinsurance. He will also report to Aon’s head of Commercial Risk for APAC.

These new appointments support Aon Actionable Analytics, which brings together proprietary and third-party data, tools, and analytics professionals to help shape better decisions for clients.

The latest Analytics appointments follow the senior appointments of Sean Rider, who leads analytics across the U.S., as well as Ben Von Obstfelder and Arshi Ahmed, who have product analytical responsibility across North America Casualty as well as global Financial Lines and Professional Lines.
