Author’s Biography

Ziaun Fakhruddin was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He immigrated to America in 1963 after she married her husband, AKM Fakhruddin, who was finishing his residency in psychiatry in Worcester, Massachusetts. They eventually settled in Nashville, TN, in 1970, where they raised three children and helped build the Muslim community. They enjoyed life with their family and traveled to many countries. Ziaun comes from an educated family and received her Phd. in Education from Vanderbilt University in 1981.
