Author’s Biography
Clem L. Richardson grew up in an area of Milwaukee where his life was confined to the Northside 53206 area of the city, much of which was impoverished. His siblings normalized going in and out of State and Federal prison, drugs, crime, and abuse. Clem’s life lacked guidance, living in a single-parent household without a father or positive male role model in my life. He made unhealthy choices that were guided by his low self-worth, deceits, and irrational suggestions from his siblings and surroundings. It led him into a fast lifestyle of gangs, drugs, addiction, crime, and jails. In addition, he believed he had no other options due to the traumatic events that he had experienced. Honestly, it is only by God’s grace that he was here. He was a drug addict, making a living on the streets. He had failed rehab three or more times. If not for God intervening for him and praying for his mother, who cared for him, He would be one of the overdose deaths that are a result of drug use and gang violence. How did he get off the streets and into counseling and the pulpit? Clem had what was a sobering realization.

God spoke to him and helped him realize he wasn’t being the man he was meant to be. It didn’t happen overnight, but this is what transformed his life. His spirit dwelt in him, which helped him understand and directed how He wanted to use him. He developed a passion and conviction that could be His instrument in changing other men’s and women’s lives. Eventually, He developed a vision and then a plan that speaks to the ever-present causes of drug use, crime, domestic violence, and fatherless families.
