Born in the mountainous state of Hidalgo, Mexico, Yareni Beltran presents herself as a living immigration success story. Through her Christian faith as well as the values of hard work, dedication, and compassion passed down in her family, she made her way up to becoming a successful healthcare provider in the United States.
Still, like many immigration stories, Beltran’s tale also features the racial discrimination and cultural division that continues to be an issue in America today. This is why she has decided to formally publish her story in a book titled “Building Bridges: Made in His Image” and has even arranged to have the book exhibited overseas at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2024 this month.
