New Lancia Ypsilon takes the stage at the Umbria Jazz Festival

The 51st edition of Umbria Jazz, one of the most famous and best-loved music festivals in Italy, which attracts a sophisticated, cultured audience, is coming to an end. Lancia is participating in the prestigious event as Mobility Partner, by providing a fleet of seven New Ypsilons to take the jazz stars through the streets of Perugia.
One of the moments most eagerly awaited by audiences is the gig by Nile Rodgers & CHIC, due to take place on July 20. The unmissable concert, sponsored by Lancia, will feature the iconic U.S. singer-songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist who has been writing and producing memorable masterpieces since the ’70s. A multiple Grammy Award winner, Nile Rodgers has been enrolled in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The American artist’s live performance is due to begin at 9:00 p.m. on the spectacular Main Stage set up in the Arena Santa Giuliana, next to the Lancia Stage that has hosted many internationally renowned musicians in the last few days.
Nile Rodgers’ performance will be accompanied by images of the new Lancia Ypsilon on the big screens near the stage, highlighting the sinuous lines of the first car in the Italian brand’s new era. Plus, in conjunction with the prestigious showcase, the exclusive “Casa Lancia” showrooms – all renovated with the new Lancia Corporate Identity – offer the opportunity to admire the entire line-up of the new model, and to appreciate its unrivaled handling, efficiency and performance on the road.
Specifically, the line-up consists of three versions for three different types of customers: the elegant New Lancia Ypsilon, dedicated to younger customers; the New Lancia Ypsilon LX, the highest spec and fullest version; the NEW LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE CASSINA, for those who want to feel at home in the car. Each trim level refers to the elegant yet sustainable concept of feeling at home, in perfect Lancia style, culminating in the exclusive NEW LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE CASSINA, the epitome of design, comfort, and well-being. Among other events, a top-of-the-range version featured in a journey in stages that set off from Milan in the morning on July 11, arriving in Perugia that afternoon. It was organized by Lancia and Radio Monte Carlo with Isabella Eleodori and Alberto Davoli – presenters of the Happy Together – on board, who talked about the distinctive features of the NEW LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE CASSINA.
Every version in the line-up is available in electric and hybrid configurations, making the model a segment leader in terms of versatility, efficiency, and respect for the environment. Specifically, the hybrid version is powered by a latest-generation hybrid engine, with a 100-hp (74-kW) 1.2-liter engine and 3-cylinder 48V technology, pairing maximum efficiency with the utmost reliability. Conversely, the 100% electric version embodies the brand’s vision in terms of range, charging time and efficiency for segment-leading performance. The model is equipped with a 156-hp/115-kW power unit and a 51-kWh battery, to ensure a range of up to 403 km (WLTP combined cycle) and fast charging in 24 minutes (from 20% to 80%) or enough for 100 km in 10 minutes.
It is worth a final mention that the “Casa Lancia” showrooms are ready to welcome prospective customers who would like to test drive the New Ypsilon and enjoy an increasingly premium customer experience, partly thanks to the renewal of the sales force, made up of dedicated and certified Lancia salespeople.
