Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at Hangzhou Centre is now accepting reservations for arrivals beginning this October.

Complementing the intimate lakeside Four Seasons at West Lake, this urban hotel is centrally located on the edge of Wulin Square – a busy shopping and entertainment district surrounding immaculate green gardens and pathways – and housed within the new Hangzhou Centre.  The mixed-use development includes the new Four Seasons, residences, offices, shopping and dining in two towers. Just a short walk away are additional shopping centres, the lively Wulin Night Market, and myriad restaurants and bars.

“As we continue to expand our diverse portfolio of Four Seasons hotels in China, we are delighted to offer a second option for both travellers and local guests in the beautiful city of Hangzhou,” says Rami Sayess, Four Seasons President, Hotel Operations – Asia Pacific.  “Here, Four Seasons will be both a serene respite from the urban excitement that surrounds it, and intrinsically connected to the business and social fabric of the city.”

The new Four Seasons is right across the street from one of the Grand Canal’s water bus stations, with the opportunity to discover this marvel of engineering that dates back to the 5th century BC.  Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its 2,000 kilometres (1,240 miles) of waterways have played a historic role in facilitating communications, transport and commerce in eastern China, and today stand out as a unique way to explore Hangzhou from a different perspective.  The Hotel’s concierge team can arrange a day or night tour with stops at one of many museums that line the Grand Canal, including the China Knives, Scissors and Swords Museum, and the China Fan Museum.  Glide under the famous Gongchen Bridge or stop at charming Xiaohe Street for shopping and photos.

“Autumn is a wonderful time to visit Hangzhou, as the city’s signature flower, the glorious osmanthus, is at its finest, bestowing waves of colour and fragrance to the entire area,” invites the Hotel’s General Manager Arthur Ho, whose extensive Four Seasons tenure includes time in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, and most recently, the opening of the new Four Seasons in Suzhou. “Our central location means that guests have easy access to the best viewing points, as well as the city’s many historic and modern attractions.”

These include the Zhenjiang Museum of Natural History integrating science, research and cultural exchange, and just five minutes away, the Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum’s permanent exhibits range from space travel to cutting-edge technologies, with plenty of opportunity for children and adults to try hands-on activities.

Be among the first to experience the new Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at Hangzhou Centre: In celebration of its grand opening in October, Four Seasons is offering the Experience More package, which includes a CNY 1,000 Hotel credit that allows guests to enjoy its dining options and spa, plus late check-out and room upgrade for guests who book two nights or more. Book online or call 0571-8681 8888.

Welcome to Four Seasons at Hangzhou Centre

Housed within a new tower by architects Goettsch Partners and GAD with landscape design by P LANDSCAPE, interiors are by Avalon Collective (public areas, guest rooms, event spaces) with restaurants by AB Concept and rooftop bar by Kokai Studio. Throughout, the Hotel is a modern interpretation of classic Chinese design motifs, featuring high ceilings, bountiful natural light and panoramic views in all directions.

The Hotel’s 188 guest rooms and 26 suites are located on floors 19-29, affording elevated views of the city, Grand Canal and West Lake. Of particular interest are the corner suites – extending the stunning views more broadly.

Wellness is a priority at Four Seasons, with an 18th floor spa featuring six tranquil treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art gym with inspiring floor-to-ceiling panoramic views, and a 25 x 8 metre (82 x 26 foot) indoor heated swimming pool for “sky swimming.”  The Hotel also features several landscaped outdoor terraces on the 8th, 10th and 30th floors for dining and special events.

Memorable Dining at Four Seasons

Welcoming travellers and local guests alike, Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at Hangzhou Centre has been conceived as a destination for dining and drinking, with four unique concepts set to be unveiled.

Leading the way is Song 颂, showcasing fresh interpretations of Ningbo’s famous just-caught seafood dishes and savoury dumplings.  The elegant and airy dining room features bold jade accents and intricate hidden references to be discovered while enjoying a business or social meal.  The restaurant offers five impressive private dining rooms as well.

At Charm 韵, there’s always something new to experience as the day begins with a breakfast buffet before transforming for a Mediterranean fusion lunch.  At dinner, guests are treated to a fun and interactive evening as chefs display their culinary craftsmanship preparing fresh ingredients to go into hot pots in a convivial dining setting.

Greeting guests off the main lobby on the 10th floor is The Lounge 桂, a gracious gathering space for cozy afternoon teas and lively cocktails in the afternoon and evening.  An open pastry counter tempts tastebuds, while an adjacent Sky Garden provides a refreshing respite from the busy streets below.

Crowning the Hotel on the 30th floor is Stars 繁星, a glamorous Champagne bar where guests can make celebratory toasts with a choice of the world’s finest Champagne labels and vintages, plus innovative cocktails, whiskeys and wines from around the globe.  An adjacent outdoor space is the ideal setting for private parties under the stars.

Gatherings at Four Seasons

Set to be the address of choice for meetings, social events and weddings in the city, Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at Hangzhou Centre offers 2,900 square metres (31,000 square feet) of indoor event space highlighted by a divisible Four Seasons Ballroom totalling 1,290 square metres (14,000 square feet).  The pillarless room is naturally lit, with adjacent pre-function space, and even boasts car elevators to accommodate product launches and more.

Unusual in the city is the Hotel’s Sky Garden with outdoor lawn and activity platform accommodating up to 200 guests – a fantastic option for concert or wedding receptions.  Wedding couples and event planners also enjoy the creative expertise of the events and catering teams at Four Seasons, with attentive service from initial planning through to perfection execution of the big event.
