Fulltime Farmer and Now Children’s Author Kathryn Wagg-Bernier Set to Showcase True-to-Life Book On Raising Goats, All Set for PRLF 2024

The Printers Row Lit Fest is a wonderful opportunity for casual readers to discover that authors can come from many walks of life. In fact, Kathryn Wagg-Bernier wishes to become a great example of how even a lifetime farmer like her can take the stuff of her livelihood and turn it into a book that educates and entertains young readers. The title of the book is “It’s All About Sally,” a book about goats using real-life pictures from her own farm.

“Absolutely love this book. I know the author myself and an honored to be blessed with some of her life experience given in this book! Highly recommend!” - Christopher Tarr

As one of the largest outdoor book showcases in America, the Printers Row Lit Fest welcomes readers and writers from all walks of life. Plenty of the showcased works include books that prove one doesn’t have to be a millionaire guru to start publishing their own story.

Kathryn Wagg-Bernier is one great example. Born and raised on her grandfather’s farm in Maine, she is the fifth generation to live on that farm. She’s taken up the family business, raising vegetable gardens, flower gardens, berry bushes, and various farm animals.

Still, that has only made it possible for her to turn the pictures she’s taken from her day-to-day work into a neat little children’s book titled “It’s All About Sally.”

The star of the story is its titular goat, who has been one of the familiar faces on Kathryn’s farm for a long time. The story covers everything from her arrival on the farm to her hilarious attempts at making friends and how she eventually warmed up to her new home.

Kathryn found the inspiration to write “It’s All About Sally” after seeing how much her own grandchildren loved to spend time with the farm animals when they visited. Wanting to teach more young readers about how much love and care goes into raising them, she decided to write a story to go along with her pictures and publish it as a children’s book.

Visitors to the 2024 Printers Row Lit Fest can find Kathryn Wagg-Bernier’s “It’s All About Sally” showcased at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at Booth Space C & D. The event will take place on September 7-8, 2024, at Printers Row Park, 620 S Dearborn St (Ida B Wells & Polk), Chicago, Illinois. Copies can be ordered online on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
