ReadersMagnet will exhibit Terry Iwanski’s “The Headhunter’s Granddaughter” at the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair, which will take place at the Messe Frankfurt, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from October 16-20, 2024.
The Frankfurter Book Fair is the world’s largest book trade fair based on the number of representing publishing companies. Also known as the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the event boasts its five-day literary festivity honoring a guest country. This year, the Frankfurt Book Fair will honor Italy as its “guest of honor,” focusing the festivity on Italian literature. The book even is annually attended by relevant attendees from the private and public sectors, including authors, publishing companies, antiquarians, book marketers, and content creators, opening doors for business opportunities and possible networks.
“The Headhunter’s Granddaughter” is a memoir that follows Terry Iwanski’s wife, Pedo AK Rupa, in a recollection of seeking freedom from poverty and abuse. The book introduces Pedo as a baby sold by her poor parents to her uncle. Her uncle already planned for Pedo to work in his field. Pedo grew up naked while experiencing child labor until a woman took pity and gave her an old, white smock that she had worn for many years. When she found a chance to leave her village, Pedo took the one-way ticket to freedom, leading her into a new world with new challenges.
The author aims to tell an essential story of finding a way out of abuse through the recollections of his wife in her life as a village woman.
ReadersMagnet, a self-publishing and book marketing company, will display this book in booth 6.0 B11 at the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair.
