L. A. Espriux was permitted to live life to the fullest measure. He became a decorated Marine Corps Sergeant after serving in Vietnam at just nineteen. Guided by divine intervention, he pursued higher education, graduating with a degree in creative writing from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1977. Through his eyes, he witnessed what few dare to acknowledge. Early in life, he learned the bitter consequences of hatred and later discovered the meaning of love through peaceful surrender. He has embraced enemies, felt the breath of violence within and without, tasted blood in battle, and been stopped from killing by a greater will of compassion. In moments of weakest conviction, he wrestled with demons and was rescued by angels.
