Oris L. Delka’s Poetry Book “From Sunrise to Noon” Will Be Displayed at the 2024 Printers Row Lit Fest

Now in its 39th edition, the Printers Row Lit Fest is the Midwest’s largest free outdoor literary showcase. The festival started in the heart of Printers Row, a historic district that used to be home to the city’s publishing and printing industry. It has become a beloved gathering for booklovers, authors, and publishers – just everyone who loves books.

Oris had never written poetry before but felt compelled to write his feelings on paper after being saved. In 2003, he began writing, which led to the creation of his book “From Sunrise to Noon.” Oris wrote it to document his feelings and express his devotion to God. His wife, JoAnn, encouraged him to share his poems with others.

After JoAnn passed away from cancer, Oris honored her wish and began sharing his poetry. He hopes that the words he has written will bring his readers closer to the Lord and Savior. Oris’s words will resonate with anyone who has truly loved and accepted the Lord with their whole hearts. The book will also delight every poet and lover of poetry.

Author’s Biography
Oris L. Delka was trained as a draftsman. In 2003, he began writing, which led to the creation of this book. Oris wrote it to document his feelings and express his devotion to God. Raised on a small farm in Nebraska, Oris worked as a construction operator when he was about 18-19 years old. An accident in 1987 led him to shift to a different line of work.
