Common Sense Self-Help Book by Veteran Educator and Coach Ric Vandett Now Set for Exhibit at Frankfurt Book Fair 2024

Even after retiring in 2017, Dr. Ric Vandett has been troubled by the rising sense of hopelessness because of the increasing polarization and inequality in America. Wanting to be a voice of both encouragement and common sense, he wrote “Hurdles.” The book shares some of his best advice from his vast experiences as an educator who worked for over 30 years as well as his experience with Vietnam veterans. The book is now scheduled to exhibit at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2024.

Dr. Ric Vandett is no stranger to the inner obstacles that keep people from becoming better versions of themselves. He has seen them manifest when working with his fellow Vietnam veterans. He’s seen more of the same when he worked over 30 years teaching high school students, serving as school principal, and then even becoming a superintendent of schools.

In all that time though, his real concern is how these problems persist despite seeing so many advancements in areas like technology.

Ever since retiring in 2017, he still feels compelled to address this mounting problem and the result is a book titled “Hurdles: Surviving Difficult Times.” Dr. Vandett has even arranged to have the book exhibited at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2024, the largest publishing convention in the world, all in the hopes that he could still contribute to addressing the world’s burgeoning mental health crisis.

“Hurdles” contains the many nuggets of wisdom he often passed to his students as well as observations about what is causing them much distress. Like many educators, he notes that the advances in technology only seem to enhance the forces of polarization and inequality that create inner obstacles to personal happiness and success. Helping readers identify and gain a better perspective on these obstacles still remains the key to overcoming them.

Those visiting the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair can find “Hurdles: Surviving Difficult Times” at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at stand 6.0 B11. The book fair will be held on October 16-20, 2024, at Messe Frankfurt, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The book is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. To reach out to Dr. Ric Vandett, visit his website at https://www.ricvandett.com/.
