Cowieyo Taylor Now Set to Showcase Christian Poems On God’s Glorious Nation at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2024

Cordell “Cowieyo” Taylor has come a long way from a troubled life growing up to finding poetic inspiration in his faith after five years in prison. The words that express his jubilation and rediscovered spirituality have now been published in a book aptly titled “The Lord is My Inspiration.” Today, he plans to exhibit this book far and wide, including at the upcoming Guadalajara International Book Fair. It’s his hope that the book will reach more like-minded believers who love spoken verse.

“My Lord I love you with all my heart, because you keep it out of the dark.”

Despite growing up in a strict Pentecostal family and church, Cordell “Cowieyo” Taylor couldn’t escape falling in with the wrong crowd and landing in prison. In that time though, he rediscovered his faith and credits God Himself for inspiring him to write poetry.

After five years of his sentence, he’s ready to put his work out there for God’s glory in the form of a collection titled “The Lord is My Inspiration: For God’s Nation.” It’s a book that he’s already showcased at several international book fairs. And at the end of November, it’s going to be exhibited at none other than the Guadalajara International Book Fair, also known as Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara. It’s the largest book fair in the Western Hemisphere, which gives Taylor a great opportunity for his words to reach both soul-searching readers as well as fellow Christians who’d like to learn about his story.

The poems in “The Lord is My Inspiration” are in a heartfelt, spoken word style that lays out just how deeply Taylor feels about his faith. Some of these also allude to several tragedies in his life and the life of his family. Other poems discuss his understanding of Jesus’ love for both him as well as the rest of humanity. Several of the poems also include bits of social commentary, and how he believes the devil continues to work against the people of God in America.

Visitors to the 2024 Guadalajara International Book Fair can give “The Lord is My Inspiration: For God’s Nation”a read by checking it out at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at stand GG40 and GG42 from November 30 to December 4, 2024. The book fair will be held from November 30 to December 8, 2024, at the prestigious Expo Guadalajara, Av. Mariano Otero 1499, Colonia Verde Valle, Guadalajara, Jalisco, México.
