Enter Paradigm, the world’s first spreadsheet built from the ground up with AI. Imagine if you could scale yourself infinitely for a task that LLMs are actually better at than humans - now you can.

While traditional spreadsheets have column headers that describe what information is contained in each row, Paradigm has column prompts. These column prompts help instruct, for each cell, its own AI agent that searches and analyzes information. Paradigm leverages data from public and private databases including Google, Crunchbase, Apollo, and Hunter.io, always providing users citations to ensure accuracy and transparency. Paradigm prides itself on better-than-human quality data, and even enables users to define their own success metrics for data accuracy.

Paradigm was founded by 22 year old Anna Monaco, a product engineer and designer who set out to automate her busy work at UPenn and ended up graduating early to build the company full time. She quickly hired June Lee, her former manager from her freshman summer internship at Google with ten years of experience building scalable systems. She also hired Michael Alfano, who had been building and releasing products solo and with Anna since high school before dropping out of Penn to join Paradigm. They then joined Y Combinator’s Winter 2024 batch, built out the platform, and onboarded several hundred employees across consulting, operations, marketing, and recruiting teams at Bain, McKinsey, Ramp, Google, Stanford, and others to their platform. Anna, June, and Michael all live together in a company hacker house in the heart of SF, that has become known as a spot where some of the best companies in the valley drop in and cowork. The team’s early product market fit attracted angel investors that include Arash Ferdowsi, co-founder of DropBox, Harrison Chase Co-Founder of LangChain, Eoghan McCabe, founder of Intercom, and many more.
