daylist Is Expanding Into New Markets and Languages, So Here Are 3 Tips To Make the Most of It

WEBWIRE

From sunup to sundown, Spotify’s daylist serves up an ever-changing playlist of songs that match your mood as it evolves throughout the day. Since launching a year ago, it has erupted as a fan-favorite feature that listeners keep coming back to. In fact, 70% of daylist users tune in week after week, millions of listeners stream it every day, and it has emerged as one of the most popular Spotify features that drives discovery.

This spring, we expanded daylist in English into 65 additional markets, but there are still listeners around the world eagerly awaiting this one-of-a-kind experience. Today, we’re thrilled to share that daylist will be available globally to both Free and Premium users—and, for the first time ever, supported in the following languages: Arabic, Catalan, French (Canada), French (France), German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), and Turkish.

With this expansion, many users will now be able to see our unique daylist titles in their native languages, from “afrofuturisme funk moderne du mercredi après-midi” (modern funk afrofuturism wednesday afternoon) to “pazartesi sabah etiyopya caz enstrümantal funk” (ethiopian jazz instrumental funk monday morning). Our product team worked closely with our local music and culture experts to infuse the spirit of daylist into each language, ensuring that the feature resonates with new users worldwide.

On devices where Spotify is available, simply search “daylist” to bring up your playlist or head to spotify.com/daylist. You can also find daylist in the Made For You hub. The feature updates multiple times a day, and you can view on the playlist page when your next update will be.

If you’re trying out daylist for the first time—or want a few pro tips to get even more out of it—we’ve got you covered.

How to share your daylist

Since its launch, daylist has proved to be quite the conversation starter. In fact, Wrapped aside, it’s Spotify’s most-shared personalized experience, with millions of shares from users in markets where the playlist is available. Since daylist is all about expressing your individuality, shareability is built into the experience and you can choose from three different sharecard options to upload:

  • A changing sharecard with up to four different background graphics depending on the time of day you post your daylist
  • A ready-made screenshot of your daylist
  • A social media sticker that captures the essence of your daylist

How to make a copy of your daylist

Just because daylist is a playlist that regularly updates doesn’t mean you can’t save the moods that strike the perfect chord. If you’re loving a specific daylist playlist, you can save it to Your Library in three easy steps:

  • Tap the three-dot menu on the playlist page.
