First Book of Julia Hallmark’s Christian Adventure Series About a Spacefaring Missionary Family Now Set for Global Stage at 2024 FBF
Julia Hallmark is a devout Christian and former preschool teacher. However, she realized one day that the stories she used to tell kids made for some exciting reads and decided to pack them into a science fiction book series. The first of these is “Once Upon a Mountain,” a story about family missionaries encountering alien civilizations. Hallmark has even managed to arrange an exhibit for this book at the world-famous Frankfurt Book Fair.

For over thirteen years, Julia Hallmark has been teaching preschool children lessons about faith through exciting stories. Through them, she hoped to pass on a love for God which she herself discovered after a powerful religious experience in the backyard of her family home.
At some point, however, she had to retire and the stories remained ever alive in her imagination. That was when she had the idea to turn these exciting tales into a series of books that would continue to delight budding Christian readers from all over.
In fact, she had even managed to secure an exhibit spot for her book for the upcoming Frankfurt International Book Fair in Germany. This event is regarded as one of the largest publishing conventions in the world, offering even smaller authors like her a shot at reaching a wider, global audience.
The first book in her series is titled “Once Upon a Mountain,” and it kicks off the adventures of its main cast: a family who find themselves missionaries to alien civilizations.
It all starts when nine-year-old Jenna and her father, Brian, are on a casual hike. Without warning, however, they find themselves pulled into an interdimensional doorway and leaving the remaining family members to find out what happened. Meanwhile, Jenna finds herself in a world populated by Sasquatch and realizes that God has called her to be the “unwanted answer to their desperate prayers.”
Visitors to the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair can find “Once Upon a Mountain” displayed at the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet’s exhibit at stand 6.0 B11. The book fair will take place on October 16-20, 2024, at Messe Frankfurt, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
