Coker’s faith was severely through the American Civil War, near-mortal injury, imprisonment by the North, and near-starvation after the devastation of his region by General Sherman. Crippled from the war, he remarkably rebounded from rags to riches and emerged as the wealthiest man in South Carolina, founding 21 businesses and intentionally uplifting others in his state, black and white, economically, spiritually, and educationally.

Author’s Biography:
After searching in vain for a life purpose, Will Joslin experienced a dramatic Christian conversion as a pre-law student at UNC-Chapel Hill. Turning down law school, he chose full-time ministry for 17 years. Afterward, he spent 26 years in business service, mainly running his own IT consulting company, Joslin Computer Solutions. Aside from ministry and entrepreneurship, Will has taught leadership, led men’s groups, mentored young men, white and black, and coached basketball and golf. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, has a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and has earned an online Doctor of Sacred Literature from Wycliffe Theological Seminary. Will enjoys golf, swimming, and sailing.
