Avery Christy’s “Stone Warrior” Will Bring Battle Champions at the 2024 Printers Row Lit Fest

The self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet will exhibit “Stone Warrior: Book 1 of The Wanderer Series,” an adventure/fantasy novel by Avery Christy, at the 2024 Printers Row Lit Fest. The book event will take place on September 7-8, 2024, at Printers Row Park, 620 S Dearborn St (Ida B Wells & Polk), Chicago, Illinois.

Presented by the not-for-profit Near South Planning Board, the Printers Row Lit Fest is the largest free outdoor literary event in the Midwest, attracting an annual crowd of 100,000. This two-day open-air festival is attended by 100-plus booksellers displaying different types and genres of books and 200-plus authors participating in panels, discussions, and other programs that should whet book lovers’ appetite for literature. This community-based celebration allows authors and publishing companies to showcase their works and products to a wide and diverse audience.

“Stone Warrior” follows Thurgan Stonebrow as he builds a group of companions to set forth and protect the land of Surigard from the enemies led by the savage Bruimar. A man with a little army, Thurgan hones his battle prowess to conquer the enemies. The ruler, Lady Pannek, gives him the epithet “General of the Red Legion.”

“Stone Warrior” is the first book from Avery Christy’s series The Wanderer. The author’s story is set in the American West, integrating medieval-era technology and culture with that of the Old West. This series is a follow-up to his Mountain Lords novels.

Avery Christy is an award-winning author. In 2023, his novel Mountain Knight won Best of the Year for Fantasy Fiction. This year, his other novel, Guardians of the High Pass, is a finalist in Fantasy Fiction for the 2024 New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards, winners to be announced in October.
