Lexus GX 550 Malbon Edition: A Vehicle for the Ultimate Golf Foursome
Lexus and Malbon Golf have reimagined a day on the course, debuting the 2024 Lexus GX 550 Malbon Edition, a special project vehicle that caters to the ultimate golf foursome.
“Through our collaboration with Malbon, we’ve built a GX that will deliver a golf outing to remember,” said Nicole Peterson, manager, Lexus marketing. “From a custom fairway wrap to a pull-out storage box capable of holding golf bags and clubs, and special Malbon touches throughout the vehicle, this GX is luxury and adventure redefined for the golf enthusiast.”
“At Malbon, we’re focused on building a community that shares a collective vision while keeping things fresh and unexpected,” said co-founder Stephen Malbon. “We’re thrilled to introduce the Lexus GX 550 Malbon Edition—a vehicle that elevates the golfer’s experience by providing a dedicated home for both passengers and their equipment throughout the entire journey.”
Shown in a custom green fairway topographic body wrap with a white roof, this special project vehicle seats up to four people. The second row features captain’s chairs, while the third row has been replaced with a custom pull-out storage box. The storage box accommodates up to four golf bags, irons, golf balls, tees, shoes, towels and any other golf necessities.
In the front, Malbon Golf logos adorn the grille, front headrests, doorsill and center console while custom Malbon Buckets logo covers can be found on the 22-inch alloy wheels.
For storing longer clubs like woods and drivers, a Pelican™ BX140R Cargo Case is mounted on top of a Prinsu® Roof Rack. The vehicle also features a Yakima® SlimShady Roof Mounted Awning for sun and rain protection before tee time.
The 2024 Lexus GX Malbon Edition will be on tour throughout the remainder of 2024, with scheduled appearances at events including: Oregon Buckets Club Golf Tournament, Columbia Edgewater (October 7); IMSA Petit Le Mans, Road Atlanta (October 9-12); Buckets Club Tournament, The Grand Golf Club (November 11); and Lexus Malbon Invitational, Miami Shores Country Club (December 4).
The vehicle shown is a special project vehicle modified with non-Lexus parts that may void warranty, negatively impact safety, and not be street legal.
