Warren A. Patton completed his high school education at West Side High School in Gary, Indiana, in 1973 and was awarded a scholarship in football and track to South Carolina State College in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where he was affectionately known as “Rail.”

During his time in the Navy, Warren went through two marriages and divorces, and he is now a father to Thomas, who was born in Hawaii on March 19, 1984. In addition to Thomas, Warren has two granddaughters and four step-children.
