First Book of Peter Moscovita’s WWII Adventure and Romance Series Inspired by Father’s True Stories Set for 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair

By profession, Peter A. Moscovita is an engineer who has worked both in the fields of medical technology and aerospace. However, he is more recently known as the author of several well-received WWII adventure stories.

Such was his growing success that he was able to showcase his work at a number of international book fairs. And soon, readers can check out his work at the upcoming Frankfurt Book Fair 2024 in Germany. The Frankfurt Book Fair is one of the largest book fairs in Europe, offering traveling readers an exciting chance to discover engaging stories like his that they can take along and bring home.

The first book in his mainstay series is “The Following Storm: Book One,” which kicks off the harrowing journey of Karl Vita, an Austrian maritime officer. Karl sees the impending signs of WWII and realizes that he needs to flee with his family before all hell truly breaks loose. Their journey is described in vivid detail amidst the backdrop of major events such as the critical failure of the Versailles treaty and the invasion of Poland.

And even after he had successfully brought his family to proper asylum in England, British intelligence was incredibly impressed by his extensive knowledge of Europe’s harbors and an extended language ability and sought to make him an asset.

Moscovita wrote the initial stories for the series based on his research on his own father’s wartime accounts. Like his main character, his father was a ship’s officer whose vessel was registered to a German company. Greatly inspired, Moscovita passionately synthesized the stories he read to create his books.

Visitors to the 2024 Frankfurt Book Fair can find “The Following Storm: Book One” at the exhibit of self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet at stand 6.0 B11. The fair is set to run from October 16 to 20, 2024, at Messe Frankfurt, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Author Biography

Peter A. Moscovita grew up in England and had a love for exploring different countries, sparked by exciting family trips across Europe. His dad’s adventure stories from working on ships made him dream about discovering new lands far beyond.

In 1966, he moved to the United States as a design engineering working in the aerospace, medical devices and eventually moving into instrumentation marketing and sales.

In 1986, Along with two other engineers he founded a medical instruments company designing, manufacturing and selling Vascular Diagnostic instruments. In 2010 the partners sold the company and retired, opening up a whole new world of travel.

Moving to Florida in 2011, living on a boat for a while before settling ashore in Lakewood Ranch. Since then, they’ve been exploring and enjoying life in Florida.

In 2018, the author wrote his first book, “The Following Storm,” which people loved! It turned into a series with four thrilling books about Karl Vita’s journey from before World War II into the 1950’s. “The Last Train Home” wraps up Karl Vita’s story, ending as World War II ends.

Writing has become a new career, with two stand-alone titles already in the spotlight. “The Ultimate Sacrifice” is now available, while “The Unexpected Encounter” will be released soon. Although “The Ultimate Sacrifice” is from the same period, it is not associated with “The Following Storm” Series.

“The Unexpected Encounter,” a gripping story of Cold War espionage with a romantic twist set in the mid-sixties, promises to keep you guessing. Look for it in late 2024! As for whether another series is on the horizon… stay tuned to find out!
