Fluidra, a global leader in pool and wellness equipment and connected solutions, has released the report "Water and Pools: Every Drop Counts" in collaboration with the Spanish Institute of Analysts and supported by external experts. The report explores the current state of water, highlighting the trends shaping the future of this precious resource and its various uses across industries, agriculture and municipal use.
 
In a context where water demand has quadrupled in the last 60 years, responsible management is critical. In response to this challenge, Fluidra emphasizes the need for joint action among all stakeholders – including industry, governments, and citizens – to improve water management through innovative practices and technologies that ensure responsible and sustainable use.

Although swimming pools account for only between 0.75% and 1% of total municipal water consumption, Fluidra, as a leader in the pool industry, positions itself as a key player in the global discussion on water management. Fluidra already offers solutions to minimize the environmental impact of pools through the implementation of advanced technologies and sustainable practices in pool design and maintenance, such as improving water recirculation efficiency and reducing water losses from evaporation, splashing, and filter cleaning.

Key measures include water-saving and efficiency technologies, such as precision irrigation in agriculture, water recirculation in industries, and green infrastructure. It also promotes the reuse and treatment of wastewater, the use of desalination technologies to increase water availability in water-scarce areas, real-time digital monitoring, and policies such as progressive pricing and ecosystem protection.
