Unleash Your Inner Botanist with the New LEGO® Ideas The Botanical Garden Set

WEBWIRE

Today, the LEGO Group announces its latest addition to the LEGO® Ideas collection – the stunning LEGO Ideas The Botanical Garden set.

Botanical enthusiasts and LEGO fans alike can now immerse themselves in the tranquil beauty of a Victorian-style botanical garden. This 3,792-piece set allows builders to explore a meticulously crafted glasshouse with three atriums, each filled with intricate details and over 35 plant species. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply someone who appreciates the beauty of nature, this set offers a delightful escape into a world of flora and fauna.

The main atrium features a spiral staircase leading to an observation deck, offering breathtaking views of two large exotic trees. The two smaller atriums house an arid garden filled with impressive cacti and a cozy café where visitors can relax. Outside, the gardens are adorned with colourful peonies and other vibrant plants, creating a picturesque scene that’s perfect for display.

The set was designed by Italy-based LEGO fan Valentina Bima as part of the LEGO Ideas programme. Once designed, 10,000 people voted for it to be made into a real set. Talking about her design, Valentina said, “I’ve been a fan of LEGO building since I was a child, and wanted to create a design that combined my love for botanical gardens and my favourite element - all transparent elements. The elements of this colour allow you to break down the external-internal border; the transparent elements allow you to build buildings, vehicles, spaceships or anything you can imagine with a pleasant and captivating external shape allowing you to see the internal details and the LEGO Minifigures”.

This set includes 12 LEGO minifigures, the most ever included in a LEGO Ideas set, featuring four staff members (the manager, two gardeners, and a barista) and various visitors. Additionally, the set comes with assorted animal figures, including a dog, a squirrel, a bunny, four bird figures, and a beetle element, bringing the botanical garden to life.

The LEGO Ideas The Botanical Set is available for LEGO Insiders from 1st November 2024 at www.LEGO.com/Garden and LEGO Stores, and available for all from 4th November priced at €329.99 / £289.99 / $329.99.
