Cosmo Wins 2 Gold and 1 Silver at the World Gema Awards

The prestigious GEMA Awards (Global Entertainment Marketing Academy, formerly known as Promax), which honour excellence in TV design, creativity, and marketing, have once again acknowledged COSMO’s creative and marketing work, awarding the channel three prizes out of the four nominations received in this global competition.

Among the awards, the campaign 8 Illustrations for 8M stands out, winning two Gold GEMAs: one for its press kit and another in the Premium or Special Items category. This artistic and collaborative project, promoted by COSMO, brings together eight artists to create a commemorative and advocacy poster, highlighting the fight for gender equality in the context of International Women’s Day.

Additionally, the campaign for the short film Los Chicos, a COSMO production that denounces violence against women, was awarded a Silver GEMA for its press kit. This recognition adds to the film’s notable track record, which has been selected for various film festivals and won awards for Best Short Film and Best Screenplay at the Avilacine Festival.

The GEMA Awards Global Competition ceremony took place last night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles (USA). These awards underscore COSMO’s ongoing commitment to creative and original messaging, highlighting two socially engaged campaigns. Both projects were developed by the channel’s marketing and creative team, led by Alberto Lafuente de Pablo.

COSMO is no stranger to these awards, having also been recognized in the previous edition with two accolades in the Best Press Pack category. On that occasion, the promotional kit for the series Paris Police 1900 won a Silver Promax, while the March campaign for Women’s Month took home a Bronze Promax.

The GEMA Awards are considered the leading global awards recognizing excellence in design and marketing in the entertainment sector. 

These awards recognize professionals and companies that have stood out for their innovation in content creation, marketing strategies, technological advances, and achievements in the media, both regionally and internationally.
