Author’s Biography
Albert Chubak, a beekeeper since 1999, is a respected figure in the beekeeping community, known for his deep knowledge and passion for teaching. He has contributed articles to the American Beekeeping Federation and Bee Culture magazines. He created the Mini Urban Beehive (MUB) in 2013, designed to nurture young bee colonies. His hands-on work with bees has given him a deep understanding of hive dynamics, which he shares with novice and experienced beekeepers.

In 2017, Albert received the P. F. Thurber Award for Inventiveness from the Western Apicultural Society for his Eco Bee Box publication and the Mini Urban Beehive. Also in 2017, Mr. Chubak was invited to teach beekeeping throughout Jordan. He is an active member of several beekeeping organizations. Albert has three adult children and lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, with his wife, Camellea, and their tabby cat, Tiggar. His hobbies include beekeeping, woodworking, restoring a 1954 Volkswagen Beetle, gardening, collecting vintage bee books (1600-1899), and public speaking.
