Nuno Espírito Santo has reinforced throughout his time as Head Coach the importance of collective contributions, with these awards reflecting the hard work of everyone at Forest, from the continued investment and support of owner Evangelos Marinakis to the ongoing efforts of those working day-to-day at the Club.

Players and staff were photographed with the awards, as Nuno and Chris were keen that the full team were recognised, reinforcing the message that the good form can only continue with the hard work of everyone at Nottingham Forest and with the unrelenting support of the Forest fans.

October was a good month for Nottingham Forest, consolidating what has been a strong start to the season. Unbeaten throughout, all three games provided different challenges and showed the team’s togetherness, resilience, and quality.

The 1-1 draw against Chelsea kicked off the month. Chris Wood’s poachers finish from a well worked free kick sparked an action packed second half at Stamford Bridge, in which Forest were reduced to ten men for the last 15 minutes.

Matz Sels, who was also up for the Player of the Month award, produced a string of fine saves as Chelsea pressed for a winner. But despite the one man disadvantage, Forest could have won the game themselves and left West London with a deserved point.

The first home win of the season followed as Forest beat Palace 1-0 at The City Ground. Wood’s sharp, first-time finish from the outside of the area laid the foundation and the team defended resolutely, restricting the away side to few clear chances. When Palace did get a sight of goal - Matz Sels produced; his save to deny Eze from long range was nominated for Save of the Month.

Four days later, victory at Leicester gave the travelling fans a night to remember as Forest’s continued to impress away from home.

Ryan Yates put The Reds in front before Jamie Vardy tapped in from close range to equalise. A second half brace from our New Zealand forward secured a deserved three points after what was a convincing performance. The first was perhaps the pick of the bunch, a swivel and finish into the bottom corner after good work on the left-hand side.

The second, a poacher’s goal, as Wood capitalised on some confusion at the back with a looped header over the goalkeeper which sent the away end into delirium. His recent goal against West Ham means the striker now has eight goals from 10 starts in the league.

The Club would like to thank the fans for the unbelievable support, both home and away, as we look to build on our promising start.
